In Dumpster Rental Systems, "Swapout" is the label used for any dumpster that is being exchanged. Swapouts will create a pickup for the previous order, and make a brand new order with the swap on it.
- In this example below, Order #1110 was swapped out and shows as a Pick Up.
- Order #1124 is the new order (for billing purposes) with the swapout on it as a Delivery.
- (P-1110) indicates that Order #1110 is the parent/primary order.
Depending on your operation and day, you may want to perform Swapout or a Dump and Return. This action can be indicated to your driver under the "Delivery" tab by the order arrangement for your driver.
Swapouts are conducted by taking an empty dumpster to the location for delivery, dropping it, and driving off with the full dumpster. See the route below:
- Deliver the new dumpster for Order #1124 (the Swapout).
- Pickup the full dumpster for Order #1110.
- Go to the landfill.
Dump and Returns are conducted by picking up the full dumpster, emptying it at the landfill, and returning the same dumpster back to the location. See the route below:
- Pickup the full dumpster for Order #1110.
- Go to the landfill.
- Deliver the empty dumpster for Order #1124 (the Swapout).
